Just a bit of political confusion
Hi Brit,
As I’ve mentioned before, our political races this year are most unusual and strange, mostly because neither side has a setting President or Vice President in the hunt. While there has been plenty of odd events over the last few months, such as the Democrats running a complete slate of people who have no obvious qualifications for the office they seek, just moments ago I experienced what I hope will be the weirdest moment in politics for years to come.
As you probably would guess, this involved Ted Kennedy, as do most unseemly and revolting things that happen in American politics. Yet, even for an aging alcoholic murderer, the words that came out of his repulsive mouth were so shocking that I had to give serious consideration as to whether, just in case there is a God and I do have a soul, it was safe to repeat them. After several long seconds, during which I consumed another shot of Scotch and fired up another cigar, I decided that, what the heck, the truth has to win out.
Thus I repeat what the Evil Senator stated during his opening remarks at the gathering where he is endorsing Barak Obama for President. As background, I feel it’s necessary to point out that this event is being held at American University, and that Senator Kennedy, besides personally having the morals of an alley cat, is also even more of a socialist than Hillary Clinton, and has continuously supported legislation over his surprisingly long political career aimed at reducing the average citizen of the United States into being wards of the All Powerful State. With this in mind, I’m sure you can understand my shock when he said of Caroline Kennedy, who is also supporting the Muslim Obama, “She and others of like mind have always championed the American Dream.” Well, that’s close anyway.
Take a moment to ponder that concept and you should be able to understand why it confuses me.
Oh, and it has nothing to do with why the Evil Rich Kennedys are siding with Obama over Hillary or Edwards. Obviously, that’s because the Northern Liberal Elitists have always hated the fact that their political power has to depend on the support of blacks and the lower classes (as they see things) rather than being granted to them as their Right because of their upper class birth. Since the Yankee Liberals see anyone who’s great great grandfather didn’t steal the family money and who, thus, didn’t grow up in their rarefied social circles, as a peasant, it’s no great surprise that they would snub the Southerners in the race.
OK, moving back to the main point, while it’s no big revelation that liberal politicians have no idea what the American Dream is, I am totally astonished that the crowd attending this disgraceful farce did not, as an instinctive group reaction, instantly form a mob, rush the stage, and give Teddy Boy a Muslin moment. Sure, it’s probably not that difficult to find a handful of people so brain dead that they wouldn’t notice the outrageous insult being yelled at them by the most vile politician in the country, but there were thousands of people there, and they all applauded! This is hard to believe if one doesn’t assume that they were drugged before the speech began.
So, to ease my mind on what would otherwise be a mass display of just how far down the road to destruction our country has gone, I’m calling on all of those in attendance to get tested for exposure to mind altering drugs so the appropriate Government Agency can finally put Ted in prison where he belongs. Of course, if your test comes back clean, a brief moment of introspection should convince you that the only way to restore your honor is suicide. Do it for the children.

First of all:
There is a God
You have a soul.
Even more reason to expose truth for truth. Definately reason enough to repeat the abomination of Mr. Chappaquiddick Kennedy.
God likes the truth, of that I am sure.
Frankly Grit, I feel one of the problems with the world today is they don’t face the truth, they hide from it, or they gloss it over to something else.
So, keep speaking truth. We need more of it, and one reason I like this world of citizen journalism. (also known as blogging).

Hi Barb,
I’m giving it my best shot on the truth front, sometimes

Hi Grit
A Kennedy endorsement is much like the transferring of the Kennedy curse onto the recipient. Obama now has a zero chance of becoming President. Thanks Teddy-boy.
The toxic snub of Clinton was a bonus.

I thought precisely the same thing too.
That an endorsement from Kennedy had to be a bad thing in the end.
Snubbing the clintonistas – priceless.

Hi y’all,
The key point in this event, now that I’ve had time to consider it in more depth, is that, whether Hillary wins or not, Teddy Boy’s life is now in danger, and not just from his massive alcohol consumption. After all, he wouldn’t be the first person who crossed the Hillabeast that turned up dead in mysterious circumstances. How marvelous it would be if she had him offed and got caught doing it! Hope springs eternal.

Hey Grit,
As always you find the silver lining. Indeed, his crossing the Clintons could be hazardous for the I-Am-Walrus Kennedy worm’s health.
And too, it is the kiss of death for Barack Obama – which I’m not shedding any tears over either.
What I find far worse is that we are being forced to accept Citizen McCain as our guy. The very thought makes me want to puke my guts out and then shoot myself in the foot.
So, now the race will be between Howdy Doody and the Hildebeast. Cripes – can we just take the next four years off?

Hi WC,
Now that I’m finally back on line, after 14 hours without electric service and the rest of yesterday without phone service, it’s just lovely to be able to respond. Yes, the choices appear to be nasty, but there is hope regardless of the outcome. If McCain wins, at his age and after a long stressful campaign, he probably won’t make it through the first year in office, let alone his first term. This means that his choice of VP will be tremendously important. Keep your fingers crossed for Thompson.
On the other hand, if the Evil One gets into the Oval Office officially, and not just to clean up after Bill, it’ll doom the Democrats to decades of loosing, much like Carter managed to do. Keep your fingers crossed that our society and economy are strong enough to not collapse completely before she is either impeached or looses her reelection bid.
And now, with great reluctance, I’m off to pick up a fresh bottle of Scotch, and then on to cast my early vote against McCain. I think I’ll make it a write in for Chuck Norris.
