Who is Al Sharpton to talk?
Hi Brit,
I don’t know if y’all get Don Imus over there, so I’ll at least mention that he has a show on talk radio that is also filmed and shown on MSNBC. The general nature of the program is discussion of current events in which Imus usually manages to insult individuals or groups. Last week he managed to put his foot in it deeper than usual when he called a majority black womens basketball team, “nappy-headed hos.”
While this would normally be handled by an apology and a trip to bigothab, two of our public figures are trying to practice their trade of race baiting for their own gain on the Insulting Imus. To this, I say, who is Al Sharpton to talk? What about Tawana Brawley, Rev. Al? How much did you skim off the top of that fraud? Why don’t you crawl into a hole somewhere and study up on the function of the Federal Reserve? Oh, and take your blackmailing friend Jesse Jackson with you. That way the two of you can pass the time swapping Jew hating remarks.

Apparently, according to the news tonight, Imus has been suspended for two weeks. I watched the show this morning, as I always do, and he was a contrite old man who quickly shed his usual bastardly demeanor. I dislike the man immensely but he has dynamite guests …the best historians, the best editors and journalists …so for a political junkie like me, it’s a must watch.
Funny thing is that he refers to his own wife as ‘the green ho’ because she sells environmentally friendly cleaning products.
The Rutgers remark was pretty bad, but not really anything new either. Most people have forgotten that Sharpton used to be nothing more than a racial ambulance chaser, and it seems he’s back on track. I’m not defending Imus by a long shot, but I’m not on Sharpton’s side either.

Hi V,
The last time I heard Imus he was pushing his brother’s salsa or something. As to what he said, I’ve heard much, much worse.
